A full readiness scorecard across Desirability, Feasibility & Viability — with the evidence behind each score, your sub-scores out of 5, and the fix-first gaps to tackle next. Save it as a PDF anytime.
Describe the evidence you gathered (an interview, a pre-order, a supplier quote…). I'll re-score only the dimensions it affects.
Every idea is pressure-tested through three lenses — the model at the heart of IDEO's human-centred design. Each lens is scored 1–5 across ten dimensions, then rolled into one readiness tier.
We map who feels the problem, how badly and how often it bites, what they do today instead, and whether there's real evidence of demand — not just a hunch. Strong desirability means a clear, reachable person nodding "yes, that's me."
We look at how it gets built and delivered, the hardest technical or regulatory risk, the time and capital to a first version, and whether quality holds as you scale. Feasibility isn't "is it possible" — it's "can you do it well enough, soon enough."
We trace how money comes in, what people will pay, what it costs to serve them, the market size and the path to profit. Viability is the difference between a beloved idea and a sustainable business.
Real scorecards from ideas we've pressure-tested. About 20 thoughtful minutes of conversation turns into a document like these — open any one to see the full thing.
I spent years in product management at companies like Dow, DuPont, and CVS Health/Aetna, building things, solving problems, and watching a lot of good ideas die from lack of clarity, not lack of talent. Now I'm doing the same work for myself: building my own ventures while raising two kids in Michigan, one honest step at a time.
I'm not here with a sales pitch. I'm someone a few steps ahead of you, using the same framework on my own ideas that I'm sharing with you here.
